Last Frame is a community film club based in East London, focusing on underrepresented filmmakers and important stories. Last Frame is an inclusive film club aiming to provide an affordable, safe and welcoming environment for all film fans. They host screenings, workshops and hold an annual queer film festival showcasing the work of LGBTQ+ filmmakers.
In 2019 the Last Frame Smartphone Film Festival happened as part of the Leytonstone Loves Film weekend, screening smartphone films from across the world. Prior to the festival, a filmmaking competition in collaboration with the London Documentary Network took place and the winners were announced at the festival. Our screening of the queer cult classic Tangerine closed the weekend to a full house followed by a panel discussion on DIY filmmaking with several queer filmmakers and creatives.
