Together/ Apart and Waiting will be screened as part of Solid Ground Community Showcase- you can book your free ticket for that as well as explore all the films being screened here
Over the past 18 months, we’ve all found new and creative ways to be together. The Stories & Supper family stayed connected by moving their weekly creative workshops online, producing a series of collaborative works and cookery videos in the process.
At this year’s Leytonstone Loves Film, they will be joining a community showcase to share a selection of short films they made during the lockdowns, in collaboration with spoken word artist Joelle Taylor, activist refugee theatre company Phosphoros and local storyteller Jumana Moon.
Shorts include a recording of our group poem Together/Apart and stories about waiting – waiting for the pandemic to be over, for asylum to be granted.
This event is produced by Stories & Supper
*Please note as this is a free ticketed event, we expect that some ticket holders may not attend. Due to this we will be welcoming walk ins at the beginning of each event. We encourage you to arrive at the start of the event even if an event states it is sold out.
