Film Screening
Nexus Centre

A celebration of musicals on film! Enjoy this wonderful screening of the latest remake of Annie along with pre show screenings of X7eaven's latest film work.

The wonderful 2014 version of Annie stars Quvenzhané Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild's) as Annie, a young girl who has lived her life in foster care, and Jamie Foxx as William Stacks, a calculating billionaire who's campaigning to be New York Mayor. Both their lives take a drastic turn when Stacks decides to adopt her. Enjoyment for all the family as we look back at those films which have influenced Sam Francis and take in a modern interpretation of a classic story.

Before Annie there will be two special pre-film screenings of X7eaven's latest films Dare 2 Dream and Stand Up and Be Heard written and directed by X7eaven's Sam Francis

“Stand Up and Be Heard” is a powerful collection of young people’s thoughts, emotions and reactions about the effects of Covid-19 through the medium of dance and drama. With thanks to Peabody Community Trust and Leyton Orient Trust.

This event is produced by Stow Film Lounge in collaboration with X7eaven

*Please note as this is a free ticketed event, we expect that some ticket holders may not attend. Due to this we will be welcoming walk ins at the beginning of each event. We encourage you to arrive at the start of the event even if an event states it is sold out.
