Leytonstone Loves Film (LLF) started in 2019 as a free film festival as part of Mayor of London’s first Borough of Culture 2019. It has been co-produced by the Barbican and a network of local partners and supported by the London Borough of Waltham Forest and Arts Council England.

We’re proud at what we’ve achieved together as a community. Over the last six years, over 60 local people, organisations, venues and businesses closely collaborated to programme three film festivals in the Leytonstone area. We welcomed thousands of local residents, as well as Londoners to celebrate film culture and Leytonstone’s vibrant cinema community.

We also got a new community fund off the ground that has supported nine projects from Leytonstone’s network of amazing film enthusiasts to continue connecting people through the magic of movies.
