From the team behind Cheap Cuts Documentary Film Festival, Last Frame is an East London based film club committed to showcasing a variety of incredible films. From documentary to the DIY cinema, Last Frame aims to highlight films that are focusing on social issues, underrepresented communities and marginalised stories and creators. We host an annual Smartphone Film Festival and provide affordable, accessible workshops for new filmmakers.
In 2019 the Last Frame Smartphone Film Festival happened as part of the Leytonstone Loves Film weekend, screening smartphone films from across the world. Prior to the festival, a filmmaking competition in collaboration with the London Documentary Network took place and the winners were announced at the festival. Our screening of the queer cult classic Tangerine closed the weekend to a full house followed by a panel discussion on DIY filmmaking with several queer filmmakers and creatives.
